چکیده

携帯電話に代表される移動通信は,アナログから ディジタルに変わった第 2世代を経て,音声サービス 以外の多様なサービスも可能とする第 3 世代を迎え ている.更に,携帯端末の処理能力やユーザインタ フェースの向上に伴ってアプリケーションの高速大容 量化が進展し,より性能の優れた次の移動通信システ ムが期待されている. 第 3世代の商用サービスが始まった 2000年代初頭, 来るべき新しいシステムを International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunications Sector (ITUR) では Systems Beyond IMT-2000(通称 Beyond 3G)と称し,その特徴はいわゆるVan diagram [1]に 集約され,多くの議論が進められてきた.2005 年の ITU-R WP8F会合において,IMT-2000の高度化と その後継システムを IMT-Advanced とすることが合 意された.2005年前後に標準化が開始されたEvolvedUTRA (LTE) [2]や UMB [3]は,IMT-2000の高度 化に位置づけられる.IMT-Advanced は,高速移動 環境下で 100Mbit/s 以上,低速移動環境下で最大 1Gbit/s程度が目標とされ,無線関連の研究報告がな されてきた [4], [5]など. 限られた周波数帯域でギガビットオーダの移動通信 を実現するには,マルチパス伝搬に強く帯域あたりの
